Welcome OMA Clients and Patients

We’re proud to now be part of MultiCare Centers of Occupational Medicine.

Occupational Medicine Associates (OMA) is now part of MultiCare Health System, a nonprofit organization that also operates Spokane’s Deaconess and Valley Hospitals and Rockwood Clinic. This became effective on October 14, 2019.

The OMA physicians and staff will continue to provide the same excellent medical services to our clients, at the same location where OMA has been for the past 25 years. We’re excited about our affiliation with MultiCare, and believe they share our value of providing the best care possible for you, our trusted clients, and your employees. Not only will MultiCare help us continue our legacy of caring for the business community in the Inland Northwest, but they will also connect us to a system of resources and one of the largest and most comprehensive Occupational Medicine providers in the state.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did OMA join MultiCare?

OMA has been providing Occupational Medicine Services to the greater Spokane community for more than 25 years. We want to continue that legacy well into the future. With Dr. Lantsberger retiring from OMA as of January 1 to pursue other interests and to spend time with her family, we felt it important to join with a partner who could help us grow and sustain our practice.

What will change as a result of OMA being part of MultiCare?

You shouldn’t notice any change. The same physicians – Drs. Van Gerpen and Rempel – and same staff will still be here to care for you. We will be adding providers soon to accommodate the needs of our clients. We expect to serve the same clients we are currently taking care of.

Do we still send our employees to the same office for services? For injury treatment?

Yes! Just consider we will be operating the same as before. Over time, as we fully integrate with MultiCare, we will offer you and your employees the opportunity to be seen at other MultiCare Occupational Medicine locations, if that’s more convenient for you or them.

Are there new forms we need to complete?

There will be some slight variations in forms, so we can align with MultiCare. We will manage this process seamlessly and easily as needed. There will also be some improvements in receiving information and results electronically. Our goal is to build on what we now offer with MultiCare.
